#OFE2023 had 160 participants from 41 countries (42% from America; 25% from Africa; 20% from Europe; 8% from Asia; 5% from Oceania). Participants came from a diversity of backgrounds (47% from science, 21% students, 10% agronomists, 9% farmers, and others in NGO, government, and private sector).

The Best Presentation awards go to Emily Murphy (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada), Subha Srinivasagan (Cornell University), and Tom Allen-Stevens (British On-Farm Innovation Network).

Outputs from the conference are currently being processed toward the publication of the Proceedings.

The #OFE2023 conference will continue to connect OFE stakeholders across the world and to progress the OFE sciences.

The objective is to assemble and showcase a global body of knowledge on the latest OFE developments, within and across relevant disciplinary fields, from theory to practice. The 2nd International OFE Conference will coordinate the production of a global picture of change at the intersection of agricultural, social and data sciences.

Pre-conference workshops (August-October) will be held by local partners online or hybrid in various locations, on topics of local interest connected by this year’s common theme. Outcomes will be funnelled into the December online global event, providing a global picture the range of shared value propositions enabled through OFE.
