Scientific objectives of the workshop The objective of the workshop organized by the Digital Agriculture Convergence Lab #DigitAg and MoISA research unit is to work on publications on the following theme: How to connect producers and consumers: impacts of platforms on the design and the functioning of agri-food value chains, with the aim of submitting them for a special issue of the International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management (IJRDM).  Pr. Niels Towers, Gloucestershire Business School and member of the editorial board of IJRDM will attend the workshop remotely. L'objectif principal des Journées EDA est de fournir un forum pour la dissémination des réalisations de la recherche et de promouvoir des interactions et des collaborations dans le domaine des systèmes d'information décisionnels (Business Intelligence) et l'analyse des mégadonnées (big data analytics). Ces deux domaines poussent encore plus loin les défis scientifiques, par des données toujours plus multiples et complexes (big queries, big times series, ...) dans des environnements de stockage toujours plus sophistiqués (les data lakes, en particulier) et tout en devant assurer une bonne compréhension des analyses possibles.

To support exchange of models for streamlined model component improvement between research groups and modeling platforms, the Agricultural Model Exchange Initiative has recently developed a framework (Crop2ML; (Midingoyi et al., 2020, 2021) that defines standards to describe a model component exchange format. The AMEI is coordinated by Pierre Martre at INRAE and some of the most active modeling groups in the world are part of it.
