#DigitAg International Research Community

The learned society dedicated to responsible digital agriculture is taking over from #DigitAg

Since 2016, in France, the #DigitAg Convergence Institute has built up an interdisciplinary scientific community focused on responsible digital agriculture, thanks to public funding. As this funding is coming to an end, we propose to build on this momentum by establishing an international learned society to bring together laboratories specialising in this field from around the world. The objectives of this learned society would be:

  • To promote responsible, inclusive and ethical digital agriculture, incorporating technological, economic and social dimensions.
  • To bring together an international community of researchers, public and private sector stakeholders, and policy-makers in order to share knowledge and foster debate on the challenges facing digital agriculture.

On Wednesday 15 April 2026, a ceremony was held as part of the CORDIALL conference, attended by the #DigitAg research and higher education institutions (AgroParisTech, CIRAD, INRAE, INRIA, Institut Agro, University of Montpellier), to symbolically launch this learned society. This event helped to raise the project’s profile and secure institutional support. We look forward to discussing this exciting collective venture with you.
