The 11th Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), international conference that focuses on central questions concerning the future of the global agri-food industry, was held in Berlin from 17th to 19th January 2019 on the subject “Agriculture Goes Digital – Smart Solutions for Future Farming”. GFFA 2019 debated “Agriculture Goes Digital – Smart Solutions for Future Farming” : how the international society will face the challenge of efficienctly and sustainably feeding 9.7 billion people by 2050.
Brazil and France proposed a joint panel to debate “How can digital agriculture foster ressource efficient and environmentally-friendly food production”. #DigitAg panellists were Frédéric Lebeau, Professor & Deputy Director of Ecotechnology Department at Irstea, and François Brun, Scientific Director Research and Innovation at Acta.
