Keynote speakers-Call for Papers for the 6th Symposium on Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures, Harper Adams University, 18-19 September 2023

This year’s Symposium is organised by the Global Institute for Agri-Tech Economics at Harper Adams University (UK) on 18-19 September 2023. The 2023 symposium is an in-person event and will host a number of special focus sessions addressing contemporary issues and technical methods. The event will be supported by the Centre for Effective Innovation in Agriculture (CEIA) the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA) Economics Community, School of Sustainable Food and Farming (HAU), and the International Network for Economic Research (INFER).

This symposium provides an opportunity for all those interested in the topic of Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures to discuss their research and to exchange ideas. Researchers are invited to submit both empirical and theoretical papers that are broadly consistent with the symposium’s special topic.  

 In addition, we are excited to announce that the symposium will feature five distinguished Keynote Speakers who will be sharing their research and insights on various aspects of Agri-Tech Economics for Sustainable Futures. These speakers are:

• Professor Paul Thomassin (McGill University, Canada)

• Professor Konstantinos Tsagarakis (Technical University of Crete, Greece)

• Dr. Andreas Meyer-Aurich (Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB), Germany)

• Dr. Fakhri J. Hasanov (King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center, Saudi Arabia)

• Professor James Lowenberg-DeBoer (Harper Adams University, United Kingdom)

 The five distinguished keynote speakers joining us at the symposium will be representing a diverse range of institutions and geographic locations, including Greece, Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia. We are honored to have these keynote speakers share their expertise and insights with us, and we look forward to their contributions to the symposium. 

 If you are interested in presenting your work during the symposium under any of the themed sessions, we invite you to submit a paper or abstract by the 10th  July 2023. Please head to our website to download a copy of the paper template: https://www.agritechecon.co.uk/
